Steve
Copper Steel and Glass on Maple
Steve began his life intending to be a mask, but lost momentum and sat in the shop for several years resting. Sometimes ideas have to ferment before beginning fresh, with older eyes and newer thoughts.

Cascade
Antique glass flower Frog, brass and assorted glass embedded in copper
Cascade was I think inspired by the many streams I have enjoyed exploring and photographing over the years. The copper is hammered and flame colored, and the piece measures 17 by 24 inches.
Carved oak, rusted steel, copper
and glass
The center of this piece is a rusted wagon wheel hub with a center of hammered heat colored copper, studded with steel and glass. Radiating from this hub are seven carved oak arms. Lenses of different size and shape are supported in maple and copper wire at different distances from the piece, and overlapping so as to provide several different perspectives to the viewer. Other rusted components include automobile parts, and as with the center hub, are sealed in polyurethane. Oracle measures about 36 inches wide and 30 inches tall, and projects out from the wall about 10 inches.
Copper Moon
Hammered copper, glass and steel
Copper Moon is a replicated series that I have been producing for a number of years. I was featured on HGTV "That's Clever" building a Copper Moon in 2008.
Copper, glass, polished and natural stones.
The hours I have spent by the ocean watching the waves land on the shore are some of the most peaceful I have known. Using blueish tinted glass, polished stones, and wave-rounded quartz stones I tried to capture the curvature of a cresting Wave, the white froth of crashing water and deep and dark water in the trough.

Lost in space? Use this ancient map of the stars to find your way home. Hammered copper, steel ball bearings and a violet-tinted glass center, mounted on charred poly-sealed wood, measuring 23 inches wide when hung diagonally.
Olde World
This hand hammered copper interpretation of early continental mapping is engraved, flame colored and finished with a clear sealant. The copper measures 12 X 17 and the frame is 17 X 22 inches.
